apse architects - architecture and planning for a sustainable environment

About Us

Apse was established out of the philosophy that ethical, ecological and organic design can make a positive difference to our lives. The directors, Gordon Clarke and Julie Boultby have been applying this ideology as practicing architects for many years, and seen the difference it makes. When a satisfied client says: ‘now I really enjoy coming to work in my new office every day’, it shows the approach is worthwhile.

Apse work with commercial, community and domestic clients with projects ranging from sustainable regeneration strategies to eco-homes using local and natural materials. We have the capacity to take on building projects of £50,000 to £5 million in value and planning strategies for parishes, towns and cities. Whatever your project, we offer the same professional approach and attention to detail throughout the process.

Apse are registered with the Architects Registration Board (ARB) as well as Chartered Architects with the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA). We are members of the Association for Environment Conscious Building (AECB) and members of the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings (SPAB). We are registered Church Architects in a number of Diocese.
