Working with communities requires a careful process of inclusive design and great sensitivity to the needs of a wide group of people.
Among our many buildings for the community are the Field Centre at Ruskin Mill, a building made from materials sourced form the local environment and built using staff and students of the college. We helped RWE-npower with an exciting concept for an Environmental Education Centre at Tilbury Biomass Power Station and designed an 18m diameter roundhouse for the High Nature Centre on the south coast of Devon.
We also carry out smaller projects for example, improvements to village halls, exhibition spaces and theatres. Many of these projects have a modest budget, often grant-aided.
